  i have been recently reading in jw.org the following absurdities on their black and white world: .

  do jehovahs witnesses have rules about dating?......christians who want to marry are commanded to choose only a fellow believer.

  (1 corinthians 7:39) jehovahs witnesses view this command as referring not merely to a person who respects our beliefs but to one who shares and practices those beliefs as a baptized witness.

  in all the 8 kh i attended [work locations changed] not one body of elders followed this direction, so if they are not minding the sheep who is?

  it galls me that they will quickly act if you grow a beard, or voice an opinion, or ask a question, but when your family fall foul of abuse where are the elders then?.

  Yes like the one girl that I can't remember the abbreviation for. Several elders related how much they loved and cared for her. When asked about her suicide attempt, they were all clueless.

  making the rounds on facebook among jws is a photo of a 'parents' magazine cover that shows the cgi jw.org kids on the cover, and an article headline about how wonderful the teaching tools on jw.org are.

  (i don't have the time or the desire to hunt the photo and post it - sorry).

  i immediately suspected some bored and naive jw doing some photoshopping.

  what can i learn from that?

  not to accept things at face value but to seek out opinion and different view points.. hence my question " do you believe man landed on the moon?.

  Jehovah Witness Wikapedia written by the same people who write the publications?

  i took a look at the jehovah's witnesses wikipedia page for the first time and i couldn't help but notice it was worded very closely to how jw's publications are.

  the good stuff seems to be very positive while the negative items seem to be very downplayed.

  the talk of persecution is enough to get your average jw wet.

  So I got to listen to most of her testimony today and the whole time I'm thinking, "what the hell is she there to prove." Eventually it was revealed and it's fucking hilarious. Great job WT! Can't even prep your own paid expert when you well know what she's going to be asked.
